Lack of Investment in Future Technologies and the Stupidity of the Species

The lack of investment in future technologies in the United States of America is a very bad move and it shows that our priorities are not in the right place. It shows that the blob of bureaucracy and its ever-growing need for money seems to trump the importance of the future progression of the human race.

Additionally, there is a shift were citizens are relying on the government to help them with everything in life rather than helping themselves. People rely on the government for free health care rather than exercising and eating right. It is unbelievable that of all countries to United States of America is not investing in future technologies.

Although the Bush administration has been very good in its alternative energy technologies and brought forth many initiatives and probably more so than other administrations of the past; I believe that this is not good enough and we must invest 10 times the amount of money in research that we are currently investing and we must do it more efficiently.

We must empower the average American to come forth and use their minds for innovations and new prototypes and inventions. We must not rest on our laurels in the present period. For such an intelligent species we are showing our stupidity by our lack of investment in future technologies and it is obvious that the human race is stuck in linear political socialist thought. This could be the downfall of the technological age and slow progress of mankind by 1000 years. Please consider this in 2006.
