Network Marketing Success 101

A few simple truths can change your experience with network marketing from disaster to success.

1. Use the company's products. Become a product of the product. You cannot sell something you are not enthusiastic about. It is your enthusiasm that will bring you new customers and distributors.

2. Share information about the products and about the opportunity with new prospects. You don't have to recruit or sell to your friends, family, or co-workers. You can reach prospects through clubs, social organizations, churches, trade fairs, seminars, co-op advertising, newspapers, and other printed media. If you have a home computer, you can reach prospects through participation in on-line services such as CompuServe, America Online, Prodigy, and the Internet.

3. Sponsor new distributors. Be prepared to give them the fullest support and help you can. They are your sales force. They will be the source of your income.

4. Duplicate yourself. Network marketing is about leveraging yourself, reaching many more people, and selling many more products than you could possibly do on your own. This is about building your team, your sales organization. Your recruits will do what they see you doing. If they see you working the opportunity seriously, if they see you as enthusiastic, if they see you being rewarded financially for your efforts, they will listen to you and repeat what you do. Teach them good habits. Teach them to duplicate themselves. J. Paul Getty, one of the world's most recognized millionaires, said, "I'd rather receive 1% on the efforts of 100 people than 100% of my own efforts." This is a real business! It should be treated like one. Commitment and perseverance are the keys.
