Creating A Baby Belly Mold Part
Hello everyone.
First off, congratulations on having a baby.
Its a big step, a step which should always be remembered.
Making a belly mold i think is one of the neatest things i have
done in a long time. Ours is hanging in our baby's room all
colored up looking great.
You can also created one of these belly molds quickly and
easily, simply by follow the steps and pictures i have out lined
below .
Ok, lets get started.
Here is a list of things needed.
Approx 13 roles of Gypsona Plaster bandages. (You can get these
at your local pharmacy)
1 Pair of scissors
Plastic, I used 6 Garbage bags.
A couple of large bowls to hold the warm water in.
Blanket
3 Pillows
1 Old towel
1 roll of seranwrap (cling in seal plastic wrap).
1 Jar Of Vasaline ( If you are going to do your hands)
First off let me tell you that this is not a hard thing to do,
so relax and have fun with it.
I am also going to tell you that this is going to make a mess,
there is no way around it. The good thing is that the plaster is
very easy to clean up.
Step one:
You need to find a place to do this at, the women getting the
mold done has to be lying on her back the complete time, not
sitting up.
So being that she is pregnant you have to make her
confinable.
What we did is this: We took an old thick blanket and put it on
our hardwood floor. We then took 2 pillows and put them side by
side then the 3rd on the top. We then took our garbage bags and
put them over the pillows and the blanket. This makes a bed for
her to lay on.
I would not do this on carpet if you can help it, some of the
plaster and water will spill off the garbage bags and onto the
floor. On hardwood this is easy to clean.
If you have no choice you will have to use more garbage bags
and an old towel to clean up the water before it runs off the
bags.
Step Two:
You now need to cut the rolls of plaster bandages into pieces.
The size will depend on how large your belly is. Just measure
from right hand side (by your back) across your belly to your
left hand side (by your back ), this is the size you need to cut
the pieces.
There will be some pieces left that are different sizes, keep
them you can use them.
Step 3:
Ok ladies now this might seem funny but i have to tell you this.
Remeber that the mold will show your breasts the way you want
them to look.
What i mean is if you dont where a braw, then they are going to
be sagging and your nipples will be showing. If you dont want
this, then where a braw that is going to support them for
you.
You want to take everything else off except your panties.
NOTE: THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART DONT SKIP IT !!!
Now you have to take the seran wrap and put it on your body were
the mold is going to be.
We put it from just below the hips to the top of your neck.
Were you put it depends on what you want molded, some women mold
the belly some mold there hands on the belly etc...
Take a look at our Photo Gallery to get some ideas.
The key is to make sure you have seran wrap on everything that
you are going to put the plaster on..
If you are going to mold your hands just put them right on the
belly over the seran wrap, apply the Vaseline over the back of
the hands and then simply cast right over the hands. Make sure
the fingers are spread far enough apart so that it is easily
distinguishable that it is a hand being cast into the belly
cast.
NOTE: What happens when the plaster dries when its directly on
your skin is it will pull every single little hair you have on
your body off when you remove the mold. (Trust me we found out
the hard way).
