What is Selenium?
Selenium is a non-metallic trace element which is naturally
found in soil. Selenium deposits are present throughout the US,
especially in states east of the Mississippi.
The atomic number of Selenium is 34, and it has an atomic weight
of 78.96. It has the unique property of generating an electric
current when exposed to light.
It can be very beneficial to the human body in small quantities,
as it is known to activate antioxidants, promote good cellular
health, and potentially prevent cancer. In large quantities,
however, Selenium is considered harmful.
Taking a daily dosage of a Selenium
dietary supplement can work wonders for the health of your
cells, but it is important to pay attention to the maximum
recommended dosage, and never exceed it.
