In today's important but hard-and sad column to do I want talk about a kid who hated his mom for what she did but now loves her for what she did.

This young teen boy wanted to go out with some friends last Thursday night his mom told him he could not go.

He hated her for that but then the next day news came his friends had been in a car crash.

Three of his friends were dead. Dead were Brian A. Brooks, 14, of Omaha; Brian Riggs, 15, of Fort Calhoun; and Kenneth "K.J." Robinson, 17, of Fort Calhoun,NE.

The driver, 16-year-old Joseph S. Fitzgerald of Omaha, NE. and a passenger, 15-year-old Anthony Wakefield of Omaha, were at Creighton University Medical Center.

Luanne Nelson, spokeswoman for the Omaha Public Schools, said she understood that both boys were in critical condition Friday.

The car was traveling at least 90 mph.

My heart goes out to these boys families but I think it is time that we think about raising the driver's age and or outlaw young drivers from having more than one under age person in the car with them without an adult driver.

Parents no matter what our laws says you need rules for your young driver. Pray for these families may God's grace help them now.

These boys have now come face to face with the Lord of Lords. I do not judge or do I have any idea where these kids were with the Lord but I do know one day each of us will see God like they now have seen Him and the only thing that will matter is do we know Jesus as Savior and Lord.
