Past To Present Work Ethics
If only Thomas Edison back then, had all the knowledge of the
internet at his disposal-what then? Would he of become the webs
biggest marketing Guru? Just imagine all the e-books that man
could of sold!
Do you have to be an incredibly smart person to operate a
successful online home-based business? Do you have what it takes
to succeed in an ever changing marketing environment? I've been
told that some home business ventures require very little time
or effort-is this true? Are the only people getting rich on the
internet the so called Marketing Guru's?
I do not have all the definite answers to these questions, so
lets go back to Edison. In order to define genius he made the
statement "1 per cent inspiration and 99 per cent perspiration."
He was obviously bright, talented, and of course very well
motivated toward success. He made mistakes in all his
endeavours, never once giving thought to the idea of failure.
Failure never seemed to discourage Edison, and when 10,000
experiments with a storage battery produced negative results-
"why I have not failed" replied Edison, "I've just found 10,000
ways that won't work"
Now you may ask yourself about the relavence of online marketing
and Thomas Edison. Well I think that with the vast array of
marketing information and online opportunity-we are all bound to
encounter failure at some point with certain marketing concepts
and strategies. But be like Edison. Choose triumph over failure
even though it seems like you constantly make bad decisions.
People in business always make mistakes, some more than others.
Online marketing is not that different from many other types of
business. Ask any modern day farmer or retailer if a computer is
an integral part of their venture. They probably don't surf the
net every day in search of opportunity, marketing techniques or
affiliate programs, but none the less-it is an integral part in
the evolution of any business, home-based or corporate.
If anyone ever comes across a home business that takes little or
no effort, and actually makes money, DO NOT let me know! There
is no such thing. Money is work and work produces money. Do your
home work before you venture into any situation requiring up
front cash and the promise of a huge reward potential. The scams
on the net are actually pretty obvious these days. Test drive
opportunities that are free to join, or well established
affiliate programs.
There are many people involved in online marketing making a very
comfortable living. This statement is obvious because of the
massive amount of traffic and sales that I have witnessed on
many web sites. However-it would probably be reasonable to
assume that these people have made online marketing their goal
in life. To truly have passion and commitment are key
ingredients. It's a lot of fun anyway, and I think Edison could
of sold a lot of e-books.
