Karma
I believe in Karma. I believe in karma like I know my own name.
I believe that when someone does something undesirable to
another, the law of the universe will give it right back. Maybe
not from the person that they did wrong, but it always comes
back...somehow.
An example? After numerous court fights over child support with
my ex husband (he refused to provide financial statements to the
court, basically making life a financial hell for the children
and I), I gave in. I couldn't take it anymore, mentally, or
financially, so yes, I quit. I thought, "To hell with it. If the
money's that important to him, he can keep it. This isn't worth
the financial or emotional stress that it's causing. I'll let
his family know that they should make sure they put it in his
coffin when he dies."
The children and I live in a nice neighborhood. So does the ex.
Since I put a stop to all of the court nonsense, the children
and I have had a peaceful existence. Life goes on. We're happy.
But the law of the universe has been true to him. Since the end
of the court battles, someone has stolen his identity, racking
up his credit cards to the tune of thousands of dollars. His car
has been broken into twice. His house (that he has since sold)
had been broken into once (someone tried to literally take the
front door off of the hinges). He recently bought the penthouse
suite in what we thought was an extremely secure building.
Someone broke into that place, taking valuable electronic
equipment among other things. The building surveillance caught
the thief leaving the building dragging a large box and wearing
my ex husband's clothes! All this in the small span of 3 years.
I almost wish that I could take credit for any of his
misfortune, but karma beat me to it.
If you give it, you're gonna get it back.
Karma's a bitch my friends.
Martinis for everyone!!
Debbie.
