The Evil Face of Hindu Fundamentalism

This article attempts to expose the evil face of Hindu fundamentalism. Hindu fundamentalism exists and is nurtured mainly in India through organisations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Shivsena (led by the Hindu terrorist Bal Thakre), Bharatiya Jan Sangh, Bajrang Dal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), etc. Hindu fundamentalism, as the phrase suggests, is a strict maintenance of traditional orthodox Hindu beliefs. It is quite probably as old as Hinduism itself. However, in recent times it has had a new face and is apparently growing with globalization, anti-Hindu (mainly Islamic) forces, and secularism. Hindu fundamentalism is an evil for India and, in some sense, for the wider world for two reasons: 1. Hinduism itself is very much flawed entertaining religious and social malpractices; & 2. It encourages a highly backward, insular state which is vulnerable to foreign exploitation. The first of the above two points is discussed in my articles 'Hindus and their Satanic Religion' and 'The Hindu Festivals: absolutely Ridiculous, Barbaric, and Rubbish'. Further there are couple of examples that demonstrate the satanic aspect of Hindu fundamentalism. A: It is observed that Indian Muslims tend to increase their population for social power. And Hindu fundamentalists seek to counteract this tendency with an antidote of more Hindu population, which would rather culminate in highly overpopulated country. B: On December 6, 1992 the Babri Mosque, located in Ayodhya in the state of Uttar Pradesh, was forcibly demolished by a group of militant Hindu rioters (under the leadership of the shrewd politician Lal Krishna Advani, who attempted to monopolise Hindu fundamentalists' feelings to gain power), on the (pseudo) basis that it was the birthplace of Hindu deity Rama. This event was followed by terrible violence and riots across the country with the infamous Bombay blasts in March 1993. Hindus themselves were killed. Hindu fundamentalism would give rise to highly insular and backward state which, in turn, would be far easier to conquer, rule, and exploit because of the lack of diplomacy and international exposure. It is important to note that this very Hindu religion, its insularity (India as a holy land conception, etc.) once made it vulnerable to foreign rule and exploitation because it asked the Hindus not to cross seas, to see technologically advanced world, be, in a pragmatic sense, developed, and thus be capable to defend the nation. Hindu fundamentalism would rather succeed in creating an undeveloped, intolerant, and semi-barbaric India. Hindu fundamentalism is thus an evil which should be condemned and terminated.
