I did some bank fishing but , that was for catching skipjacks form bait. The Ohio River here at Cincinnati was below 28 feet from mid-May till late November. The spring and up till mid-May I did not have any cut bait to use. I therefore had to make do with some unusual baits. This included tuna blood vein, deep fried chicken skin, seasoned cooked and raw steak. Once I did get some shad and skipjacks they became my main sources of bait. For the year I caught: 12 Blue cats. The largest was 10.7 pounds. 6 Flatheads. The largest was 19.2 pounds. 43 Channel Cats. The largest was 12 pounds. 2 Carp The largest was 7 pounds. 3 Sheephead Perch The largest was 5.3 pounds.
