When You Pray

When You Pray If you are going to pray for something, why would you worry about it after you've prayed for it? Many people will pray and ask for certain things that they think are needed in their lives. When what they have prayed for haven't yet manifested itself, some believe that "GOD" isn't listening to us. The thing is........if it is not in "HIS" will for you to have that in which you have prayed for, you will not get it. You must refocus your prayer. I am not a religious person trying to push off "the art of praying" on anyone. So many people seem to think that "If I get on my knees and pray real hard, the lord will hear me." That's not the way that prayer works. Help is given to those who helps themselves. You can't pray for something and then just sit on your butt waiting for it to fall from the sky. You may have prayed a specific prayer and asked to receive a certain "prayer request" within a certain time limit. "HE" doesn't work that way. When "HE" blesses you, it is on time and at the right time. Not when you want it. "HE" knows what you need before you even ask "HIM." So why would "HE" be late. Never! "Be careful what you pray for because you just might get it" is a saying many of our grandparents have preached to us. If you are going to pray for something, be sure that is what you want, because if you get it, what will you really do with it? Sometimes we are tested just to see how much we really can handle. If you are going to pray...don't worry. If you are going to worry...don't pray. It's that simple. Monica M. Burns copyright2005 Monica M. Burns. All Rights Reserved. About The Author Monica M.
