Pepsi Jobs: Truck Driving a Major Option
Although those new P. Diddy Pepsi commercials are very
entertaining, Pepsi truck driving isn't just for P. Diddy. Pepsi
is a large company that not only offers traditional job
opportunities, but also truck driving jobs as well. Pepsi, a
division of Pepsico, is a company built for growth. It is the
third largest bottling company in the United States. They put
their resources back into the companies growth, only venturing
on safe, stable acquisitions and building the companies up
inside. They are aware of risks and thus are more stable than
many other companies.
Pepsico generates yearly revenues of $27 billion and employs
143,000 individuals, many of whom are truck drivers. Pepsi hires
truckers based upon safety (potential drivers must be at least
21 years old with a clean driving record for at least the last
three years), willing attitude (punctuality, helpfulness,
accuracy, safety, professional manner), and a minimum physical
capability (since truck drivers will have to lift 40 pound loads
repeatedly through the day). Pepsi prides itself on offering
equal employment opportunities to all people, valuing diversity
in the workplace.
A truck driver in the Pepsi private fleet can rely on smooth
running transportation management provided to private carrier
PepsiAmericas by LeanLogistics. This TMS (transportation
management system) provides for efficiency both monetarily and
time-wise. The new TMS allows automated payment which eliminates
much of the more time consuming manual processes. A good TMS
allows electronic invoicing, and removes the need for third
parties and the focus in on transporting the goods to the
client. GA
