Halo 2 Human Weapons
Here I'm going to tell you how to use all the Halo 2 weapons
effectively. So let's get started...
HUMAN
M6C Pistol- Fires fast, accurate, fast reload, I have to say the
pistol is pretty underrated. This works great with an SMG. The
SMG and pistol dual wield is good for mid-range(you can beat the
battle rifle sometimes) and close-range. But you have to get
head shots. The only way to get head shots with any of the Halo
2 weapons is to have your sensitivity right. I also like to use
dual pistols too. You can get a ton of easy kills with dual
pistols if you've got good aim.
BR55 Rifle-Everyone hates this gun in single-player, but in
multiplayer it is the most devastating Halo 2 weapon. This is
probably one of the tougher guns to use so practice with it. A
well-thrown grenade and a couple battle rifle shots is the best
combo in the game.
The battle rifle is also a part of the most hated combo in Halo,
the noob combo. The noob combo is using a charged plasma pistol
shot followed by the battle rifle, usually only one battle rifle
shot is needed. There is, however, a way to block this
God-forsaken combo.
First, dual wield any two weapons. Wait for the charged plasma
pistol shot to come towards you and then drop the second weapon.
If you time it right, the dropped weapon will hit the charged
plasma pistol shot. Timing here is critical so you might wanna
practice this one with your friends first.
SMG- Not bad on some maps, but just awful on others. Try using
this weapon on smaller maps. Like the battle rifle, throw a
grenade first then fire. That's usually the best tactic.
The SMG is also the core of almost all dual wields. Use the SMG
with the plasma pistol or plasma rifle. Those dual wields are
usually pretty effective. Try not to dual wield 2 SMGs. Use it
only as a last resort.
Sniper Rifle- The hardest gun in the game to use but it's also
my favorite Halo 2 weapon. I have created a couple tips that
will help.
-Always move around. Never camp out in one spot, no matter how
good you think it is.
-Check your motion sensor. You'll spend a lot of time trying to
find people so it's good to zoom out every once in awhile to see
if anyone's coming. Try doing this after every couple of shots
or so.
-Unless you're incredibly skilled with the sniper, please do not
try to use the sniper in every situation(i.e. in close and the
enemy has a shotgun).
-Take good shots only. This kind of goes with the point above.
Do not jump of a building and try to no-scope someone across the
map. Take shots that you know have a good chance of hitting
their target.
Rocket Launcher- Simply jump and fire at the ground right before
your enemy. Easy kill. No matter how easy it is though, I always
see morons trying to shoot people in the air, wasting ammo.
Every single shot should result in a kill. O yea, make sure to
hold R when firing at a vehicle.
Shotgun- This is the only weapon, besides the Rocket
Launcher(and a lucky no-scope from the sniper), that can beat
the sword head on. It takes great timing though. Try firing when
the sword guy is in mid-lunge.
That's not the shotgun's only use. Always use it in tight areas,
like the alleyways in Turf. If you get close to an enemy, a one
shot kill is likely.
That's it for the Human Halo 2 weapons. Take those tips to mind
next time you play.
