Imagine this . . .
There are two people, John and Mary.
John becomes a distributor in your group. He is lazy, doesn't
get on conference calls, doesn't learn new skills, never gets
off his butt, avoids talking to prospects, seldom gives out a
sample . . .
His "hands-on" knowledge of visiting with prospects is "zero."
John just sits around and waits for that lucky break . . . and
it comes!
The perfect prospect with the perfect connections with the
perfect timing. Excellent!
And what happens to John's business?
Nothing.
Mary becomes a distributor in your group. She gets on every
conference call she can, learns new skills, gives presentations
to "live" prospects, passes out samples . . .
She learns how to deal with prospects. She accumulates
experience.
While Mary is struggling and interacting with prospects, that
perfect prospect appears!
The perfect prospect with the perfect connections with the
perfect timing. Excellent!
And what happens to Mary's business?
It explodes.
Why?
Because Mary had experience. She interacted with prospects
daily. Each time she passed out a sample, she learned a little
bit about dealing with people.
So when the perfect prospect appeared, Mary knew how to handle
the presentation.
That's why we pass out samples. We need to learn how to interact
with prospects in real life.
The moral of this story is . . .
You've got to pay your dues!
