A good car can never be replaced
Since th1950's when Ford debuted the Thunderbird it seems that
in my opinion it has been one of the best automobiles ever made.
It has gone through many changes over the years and has still
seen great success in it's ability to sell. The Thunderbird has
been a sports car of the fifties and sixties and became a luxury
sedan of the eighties and nineties. It has now returned as the
sports care that it had been. No matter what, the car has been
reliable. My parents owned a 1979 Thunderbird Heritage that we
called "Nelly." Nelly went accross country at least four times
and had 636, 000 miles on her when we retired her to drive a
1986 Thunderbird. That Thunderbird, like Nelly held on for years
and years and miles and miles. It was able to handle the abuse
of a sixteen year old just getting her license. It was amazing.
Recently I have come accross another person with a thunderbird
that has seeming been able to with stand the abuse that I have
talked about, www.boobooauto.blogspot.com. Unfortunately the
cost of the new thunderbird has made it out of reach for most
people. A forty thousand dollar car is a little much for anyone
that is not ridiculously financially stable or retired with a
fantastic pension.
