The forklift becomes more unstable when you lift some object very high in the air. You should make sure that you only lift the load high enough to finish the task what you are trying to do. You should be especially careful when you are making a turn on a forklift with a lifted load. The forklift becomes even less stable, so you should make the turn slowly and carefully. The general rule that you should follow when you are driving the forklift is to keep your load raised at no more than eight inches from the floor. In this case you should drive the forklift in reverse so your view is clear of all objects.
