10 formulas for winning products every time!
Every one marketing on the Internet needs their own product
that will earn them 100% of the profits. While you can
easily buy the rights to different types of products that
will allow you full ownership- it is more cost effective
and more rewarding to create your own.
This is not difficult to do. The only real requirements for
your product is that it serve a purpose and solve a
problem. I am sure you have heard the advice "Just write
what you know". That is good advice but may still leave you
wondering where to begin. Here are a few quick formulas
that will lead you in the right direction.
1. The Tips booklet. Everyone wants to learn to do
something quicker, more efficiently, or in a way that will
help them avoid all of the mistakes created before them.
Include 25 tips on a popular subject that will help them do
just that. For instance: "25 Tips to _________"
2. The Spinoffs. If you have already created a product or
have read a product that you thought left something out.
Create a spin off. For instance: Suppose you have purchased
an ebook titled "Marketing your product with Search
Engines" There are many other ways market yourself. Your
product might become "Marketing your product with ezines"
or "Marketing your product with free ebooks".
3. The Q and A. For every subject out there is someone that
needs to learn it. Compile the 25 most frequently asked
questions and the answers to them. For instance: "Answers
to the 25 most asked questions on web design".
4. The Interview. This is always a winner. Everyone wants
to learn the secrets from someone who has already
accomplished something that they wish to accomplish. Create
a list of 10-20 questions regarding a certain topic. Then
approach 5-10 people who are already successful in that
arena. Publish their answers.
5. Creating Bundles. This is relatively easy. Suppose you
have written a HTML authoring tutorial. Create a Java
script authoring tutorial, package the two together and you
now have a web authoring tutorial.
6. Bookmarks. We all have a great deal of bookmarks that we
have collected. I have bookmarks ranging from automotive
repair to recipes for pork chops. But many of my bookmarks
consist of the same topic. Compile and organize your
bookmarks in a way that makes sense -add your thoughts,
experiences, and opinions on the bookmark provided and you
have a winning product!
7. The List. Simply create a list of resources for a much
needed topic. Suppose you were looking for places to
advertise your ezine. As there are many places to do so it
would be much quicker to purchase a list already created.
Consider these products: "56 ways to accept credit cards
with no merchant account" and "Ultimate Ezine Promotion"
Both products are simply lists of resources, but they sure
did make my life easier!
8. The Newsletter. This is also a winner. Create a
subscription that you sell access to. Decide on the
frequency. Perhaps weekly or twice weekly. Then create a
newsletter on a topic that either provides them with more
knowledge of the subject or resources to help make their
life easier pertaining to that subject.
9. Templates. These are the best. They certainly save both
time and money. Especially if it is something that is time
consuming or difficult to learn. Create templates that the
user can customize to fit their own needs. For instance:
customizable web templates, ebook cover templates, fill in
the blank sales letters or auto responder follow ups, Java
scripts, and cgi-scripts.
10. Tutorial. Once again for every subject to be learned
there is someone who needs to learn it. Create a tutorial
teaching a task or process to someone. You could provide
diagrams to help illustrate the process. You could create a
screen cam of yourself performing the same task using Lotus

Or create a movie or talk someone through the process using

With the thoughts in this article and the thoughts in your
head, you now have everything you need to create your own
products. You have everything you need to continue to
create them. What comes next is up to you. I hope I have
given you a good start.
Here are a few final thoughts. Some of the best products
start from here:
Create products that you need and have not been created
yet.
Study products created by others to stimulate ideas and
improvements.
Write about your own experiences and how you have
accomplished something.
Most importantly look inside yourself. There is a great
product in everyone.
I wish you every success!
