Being A Boston Sports Fan
Being a Boston sports fan means a lot of things. First and
foremost, it means unwavering support for the home teams. It
means cheering for them when they're winning, and it means
letting them know about it when they're losing. It means being
able to handle heartbreak, and put your chin up as you say,
"Wait til next year".
Being a Boston sports fan used to mean rooting for perennial
also-rans. For the past four years though, it has meant rooting
for Champions. With the Patriots winning three out of four
Superbowls, and the Red Sox winning their first World Series in
86 years, it is a good time to be a Boston sports fan.
Being a Boston sports fan automatically means a dislike for New
York teams that borders on and often surpasses hatred. While
it's the Yankees that are usually the recipients of our hatred,
the other New York teams get no slack.
Being a Boston sports fan, means that you're a Boston sports fan
for life. Being a Boston sports fan, means that you're Diehard.
