Removing Contact Lenses

It is important that you remove your Contact Lenses correctly to minimize
the chances of damaging your Contact Lenses or your eyes. If you take
your time and follow these simple tips then you should be able to take out
your Contact Lenses easily.

Before you begin to take out your Contact Lenses you need to make sure
that your hands are clean and dry and that you have the cases for your
Contact Lenses ready and all your appropriate cleaning solutions handy. If
you are using a special remover to remove your Contact Lenses then
ensure that this has been sterilized too before you begin.

Firstly you need to look upwards and then hold down the lower lid of
whichever eye you are going to remove the Contact Lens first with your
middle finger. Then simply slide the Contact Lens down to the lower part
of your eye. Gently pinch the Contact Lens with your thumb and
forefinger but be careful not to fold the Contact Lens too much. Then
place the Contact Lens in the appropriate section of your Contact Lenses
case and repeat for your other eye.

Would have to say from experience that Contact Lenses are best removed without false nails on! It can seem difficult at first but just like putting Contact Lenses in you will quickly get used to it. To start with you may feel that you are about to pinch your eye but the lenses will come out more easily over time and you will find the method best suited to yourself.
