We are rapidly reaching a new paradigm of warfare one, which will be fought by robotic warriors instead of flesh and blood. This will mean a redesigning of current tactics. For instance sometimes it makes more sense to follow your enemy than to kill them, especially when your enemy is a robotic unmanned aerial autonomous vehicle doing surveillance. It is essential to find and destroy the command and control component of your enemies net-centric system. By following the UAV to the launch point may provide some of this information and thus enable us to send in a single mission UAV or missile to take out that location to prevent future launches of robotic units from that point.

Investigators often do this with suspects, catch and release method. Release a drug dealer and then follow them to continue the investigations. This is not a new tactic, just new to the future of robotic warfare.
