Connection 7: Prayer Support (Part 7 of 7)
This is a two-part process: The individual receives prayer and
prays for another. To make this truly a new connection point,
the people should be outside of the small group, mentorship,
serving, and support group systems (of course it is a good thing
for prayer to occur inside those circles).
Weekly contact calls from one to another to remind the people
that they are being prayed for, and to ask what specific prayers
are requested builds a strong bond. In return, the person being
prayed for is assigned a different person that they are to pray
for.
The successful connection is made when people look forward to
calling and asking others how they can pray for them. The
advantage of this connection is the long-range intimacy it
creates between people and the connection with God through
prayer.
