Almond Mask
Best for oily skin, almonds soften and cleanse while providing a
healthy dose of protein for the skin. Grind almonds into a paste
with a small amount of liquid. Apply to the skin and leave on
for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse.
Apricot (or Banana) Mask
Great for dry skin, apricots and bananas moisturize and provide
a great source of Vitamin A. Mash apricots (or bananas) with
warm olive oil to form a spreadable paste. Leave on for 15 to 20
minutes. Rinse.
Avocado Mask
Another great one for dry skin, avocado moisturizes as well as
providing protein and vitamins to skin. Heat mashed avocado over
a double boiler until just warm. Apply for 15 to 20 minutes,
then rinse.
Carrot Facial
Best for oily skin, carrots are rich in Vitamin A and are a
great astringent. Use the carrot shavings with a little lemon
juice. Apply to the skin and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes.
Rinse.
Cucumber Facial
This multi-purpose facial can be used as an astringent, to
cleanse and bleach away unwanted age spots and freckles. Apply
cucumber slices and juice (if desired) to face and hands. Leave
on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing.
