A Sure Way To Win Over Your Customers
You've all probably heard the old saying "it's better to
under-promise and over-deliver", that;s a concept that is
instrumental in your online success and a sure way to win over
your customers from day one. It's all about giving a little more
than the customer expects. Not just matching expectations but
exceeding them. So how do we do this tactfully? Here's and
example.
Let's say I want to sell an ebook about strength exercises you
can do using a swiss ball. I put together all of the techniques
that are available on the market into this material and add a
couple more custom exercises from leading personal trainers. A
customer may finally be convinced to buy this product and enter
their credit card details on my site. When they get to the
download page they may be a little nervous and anticipate the
download. Imagine they see a message thanking them for their
purchase and in appreciation of their initiative you're giving
them an unadvertised gift, a complete guide to strength
exercises you can do on a floormat. These produce the same
results as the swiss ball but can be completed anywhere and you
place a link for the special download aswell.
You're sure to win the confidence of the customer and what the
customer may not realise is that you were planning to add the
bonus as an extra chapter but decided to add value by offering
it as a free gift. Not only have you won confidence but next
time you promote something to the customer they'll have a
positive expectation of receiving something extra for free. It's
important not to false advertise and leave out a lot of your
product in the advertising so that the customer only knows about
50% of what they're actually getting when they pay for it. As a
rule of thumb the customer should know 90 - 95% of what they're
buying with a little extra added as a bonus. 100% of what they
require must be in the original product with added value
contained in the bonus. A common theme you'll notice in this
article is to add value for your customers. It's all about
having their best interests at heart.
I hope you found a useful tip here and wish the best in online
success.
