Advert Recipe.
The word "advertising" means different things to different people. There are countless definitions for the word "advertising." I will like to apologize to all numerous authors if they did not see their definition in this article. (Please kindly accept my sincere apology from the bottom of my heart.) For simplicity and better understanding I will like to state here that the word "advertising" simply means to "to make known something--products, services, concepts-- and to persuade people to buy." I believe you are with me.
Advertising is one of the most powerful / socializing force in the business world. It sells more than products. It sells images, values, goals, and concepts. A good advert shapes our attitude. And attitudes shape our behavior.
Advertising, like most field jobs, work through a process--a series of stages of which each contributes to the success of an ad. A number of ad processes have been developed over the years. But the most commonly accepted process is AIDA (Attention Interest Desire Action).
It is an essential process that should be incorporated into the components of every ad copy. For all ad messages to be complete, it must accomplish the following:
1. Create attention
2. Sustain interest
3. Stimulate desire
4. Create action
5. Create an appeal
6. Must be credible and decent.
I have come to the conclusion that the awareness and the application of these Ad recipes, is the first step to effective and efficient adverts in this globalize business environment.
To crown it up, I will like to leave you with this beautiful quote: "The best advertising is done by a satisfied customer." So says Philip Kotler. I agree with this, don't you?
