CHANGE YOUR DMO

I am a Network Marketer. The direction I go in my business is in exact proportion to the lifestyle I have planned in my mind years ago to live.

There is a good chance YOU are a Network Marketer too, so I wanted to share with you a quick and dirty on how to make your business take off as mine has.

Thinking big picture now ... Focus, Balance, Discipline and Attitude is what you must create in your life. Everything has it's place and time. When it is work time, you work. Time to play, you play. Time to exercise, exercise, etc.

Your DMO, or Daily Method of Operation, is a term, or concept I learned early on by my Networking sponsor. It is very simply what you do each day (in this case I am being specific with building your business.)

If you have one hour to talk to people online, then for one hour, talk to people online. Of course, the consistent effort, day after day, will build upon itself with the snowball effect of that wonderful word momentum. It is the consistent effort that will make you successful, not any other one thing.

You will burn yourself out, get fatigued and depressed working endless hours online without satisfactory results in bringing new folks into your business without doing the *right* things consistently day after day. It is not the amount of hours you put in ... it is the quality and effective impact you make in less hours after having invested valuable time improving your own skills to bring increased value to the market place.

Your DMO is a constant. It is what you do each day. Some people get real detailed i.e., "wake up ... eat ... turn on the computer ... shower", etc. while others just conceptualize "begin with end in mind ... concentrate on my dream, the why/ the how-to will come."

I have learned that without stability, there can be no growth. Your DMO is your stability. It's what you do each day. For me, I write one article each Sunday, every Sunday, and promote it wherever, all over. The rest of the week, I do nothing ... just joking. I try to be nice and make friends. It's not easy, but, I do love people and try to help them if I see an opening.

The DMO needs to change though. How often will depend on the physical results relative to if you are attracting quality prospects and if you can keep up the pace to be consistent in this activity.

The more leads and prospects you generate, the more you will create growth, so it is important to continually be working a lead pipeline. If you are not right now, you need to start (or change) your DMO immediately.

It can be as simple as making one new friend online in a chat room each day 6 days a week. Hey, 6 new friends a week, put them in your follow-up system ... not bad (only 6 hours a week). Anyone can do that. Keep doing it and you will have a huge organization in no time.

Since I believe I have the best deal in the world to share, I go more for heavy duty quality folks and make them jump through hoops before I take the time to give my knowledge and experience away. Duplication is essential, and your DMO should be duplicatable. Not everyone can cold call, but everyone can write what is on their mind and post it online somewhere.

The bottom line is if your DMO is not taking you in the direction you have specified that you want your life to go in, by all means change the DMO. Do NOT change the part of it that IS producing some quality leads. Change what is not. Sometimes it is difficult to discern what is working and what isn't because you only need one "big fish" to boost your commission check each month. I usually will not change my DMO for 3, 6 or even sometimes 12 months, depending on the time and money I am putting out.

We have to be patient to attract quality people. They will not join you in your time, but in their time. The only way to get the timing right is to ensure that your DMO includes some way to stay in front of the quality prospects you originally attracted over a period of weeks, months, yes years! If you have worked hard to create a big pipeline of prospects, you will ALWAYS be having a new enrollee join your program here and there (as in a numbers game).

Make your DMO fun! Detail it as much as you can. It is your business and no one else's. No one will make you rich except you. Put "feet to your prayer", trust in God, kill off anything that makes you go in the wrong direction, work on Focus/Balance/Discipline/Attitude, and Change your DMO!
