Nano Size MAV and Smart Dust

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles UAVs have come a long way and the United States Air Force now has over 15 squadrons of Predator Type Drones for surveillance. But scientists are literally trying to become the fly on the wall. Developing little flying hummingbird size UAVs called MAVs Micro-Air Vehicles. In fact some are already plotting nano size flying air vehicles, the size of a spec of dust or sand pebble. Can you imagine that?

Well scientists are well on their way in this goal, as they are now building and flying around little MAVs which are about 4 inches in wingspan and 3 inches long which can fly and carry enough battery power to stay up for 3-6 hours. As the differences change and the sizes morph, while the little sensors are made smaller, it will be necessary to re-adjust what we call all these little flying gizmos Nano MAV should be broken into Smart Dust Categories as well. Soon these little flying units will use trickle charging nano battery while it flies from electromagnetic energy, solar and batteries. These units as the get down to the size of insects maybe used for delivery of Bio-Weapon Virus? They may have stingers like a mosquito, swarm mote or node transmissions, Bio-sensors and reporting or used to cause short in electrical systems. Perhaps they will use an acid derivative in manufacturing to melt something? They can be used in large numbers for swarm blindness or visibility limiting of enemy or for electromagnetic energy disruption of Computer screens? Used as many swarm reflectors on the ground to redirect airborne lasers thru windows on ground? Fly on wall CIA scenarios and bugging devices or even the clogging inlet air to systems for cooling and enter duct systems for air. Disrupt radar systems if made of aluminum dioxide coatings:

Fly into aircraft taking off intakes and explode or air inlets to over heat? Cover Windscreen and visibility? Pop tires on runway like pick-up jacks? Melt ice to cause flooding?

You see as UAVs, Become MAVs and then morph into small smart dust size units, there will be unlimited military applications as well as commercial applications and this will all happen soon enough. Simply think on this and you will see what I mean.
