How often have we received holiday gifts that someone, who cared about us, made themselves? I look forward at this time of year, to homemade candies, and cookies, but not pound cakes. In many families, making presents has become a tradition that, once started, the gift maker had better not beg out of. What if you could make something yourself that was healthier, had many uses, and was to become the talk of the gift exchange celebration, even if it didn't taste as good?
I used to give and receive bottles of "Hooch." No, I was never a bootlegger, nor were my friends or living relatives. The downside of giving liquor is that it is expensive. I never gave anybody a cheap bottle of wine, although some of my roadside philanthropy may have ended up doing that anyway. I did enjoy receiving a "Good Bottle." Now, I am able to give a better bottle
