Galbraith recommended a guaranteed minimum income or negative income tax and the reduction of bureaucracy which would include police and legal cronyism as society worked to correct its real corruption issues. McGovern tried to run on a platform including this and Mulroney tried to do it in a run for office in Canada. The bureaucrats and Hegelian Dialectical forces including the owners of media empires were able to ridicule these things so that people would not support a new approach.

The issue of what is legal and what the government should be involved in doing for the good of society is complex and it must include solutions to better the life of all people. This requires a total re-think of government. Currently it is into Empire and cronyism rather than enabling people or solving the issues which cause them to need drugs. Rather than address those problems they continue to educate and enforce. The biggest crime consortium is in bureaucracy and its victims are put in prisons.

Education is not enabling as much as it is designed to produce malleable citizens and amazingly it still focuses on vocational issues including what it was set up to do at the start of the Industrialization Era. We no longer should be churning out workers - we must return to the era before Empire and the sins and demons therein. We must teach questioning like Socrates and thinking will enable people to responsibly act for their own growth and that will create more creative and productive people who can help each other rather than what we have.

We have bureaucracy and an Empire which will not tell us the truth of the matter including the fact that there is no need for workers doing the jobs of today if we employ technology and the nanobots or self-replicating artificially intelligent machines that can do most of these menial jobs. We do not need social workers and police if we have lifelong education and an ethic of care or love. We must teach parenting before allowing children (emotional and spiritual) to have children. We must address family violence which is at the root of much of the drug use and which also encourages a larger social Cycle of Violence as in the War on Terra. We must end standing armies and the bigotry against races caused by religions. We have the opportunity to use technological carrots rather than repression to benefit armaments manufacturers and international financiers. At the root of much of this I think we have women being treated as chattel or worse in most of the world. The Family Compact in Canada said just about the same things Stalin said about educating people - WHY, do it? It only makes people harder to manage?

J. K. Galbraith won a Nobel Prize in economics for pointing some of this out in the late 60s (Bucky Fuller also did the calculations showing we all could be millionaires when that really meant something - and built a biosphere with recycling that allowed only a 2% energy input - near Calgary). The Club of Rome has more recent papers devoted to increasing GDP while reducing man-hours but soon the robots will make it so all their projections seem underestimated to the extreme.

We should address a lifespan of 900 years without parts replacement that is around the corner too. Why is this not being addressed? Are they planning to leave Earth and colonize space while leaving the mess behind knowing it will soon be a 'big shoot em up'? Will the ethnic bombs being worked on in secret labs in places like Israel be unleashed as a new virus or contagion to de-populate the earth to manageable and racially correct (!?) components?
