Humans spend a lot of time sitting and this is not always the best thing to do considering the need for cardiovascular circulations. Those who sit down all day have can have issues with lack of exercise, which can lead to problems down the road. In addition to all this we find many chairs to be hard and uncomfortable. Everything from seats in cars to picnic table benches can be quite uncomfortable. In schools we have desks, which are absolutely atrocious. And if you go to a furniture store and browse around you find that everything is quite stylish yet if you were to sit in any of these chairs for hours on end, day after day, you would have a sore rear end. I have a solution; how so you ask?
I propose we make seat cushions for chairs, which are self-molding like the sleep number beds that Lindsey Wagner is now promoting. You see with the sleep number bed you can have it set of your choice of firmness. They even are set so two people can sleep in the same bed with different settings for each. We need to make cushions like this with a small setting on the side, a little wheel dial switch. On this switch would be a one to ten setting with ten being the most firm. Then if you were sitting at work all day by a computer you would not a have sore butt and then walk and get into your car on another uncomfortable seat and then go home and sit on a couch or chair which was also uncomfortable. America you need to get off your butts, but when you must sit, demand comfort. Consider this in 2006.
