A recent exchange with a Muslim:
Muslims believe that Muhammed was the successor of Jesus, a new prophet sent down by God. The point is they believe in Jesus and Moses too. What do you think of it?
The demons believe in God and tremble but they don't love, serve and obey Him with an attitude of gratitude. IF the Muslims truly believe in Jesus and Moses' they would follow their example and keep the biblical Sabbath, the biblical festivals and dietary laws - just like Jesus Christ will teach and command them to when He reigns from Jerusalem - not Mecca or Rome.
Belief, faith, must be accompanied by works or it is dead: a worthless faith, a hollow belief.
Oh but you see, we do keep the dietary laws. If you pay close attention to the Quran, you can see many of the Laws of Moses PBUH are found in some form in the Quran not to mention the 10 commandments. less the Sabbath. We are not Jewish in descent-so we have no need to keep the biblical holidays. We already have our own. I do not recall Christians keeping those laws.
What I know is that you don't eat pork but you do eat other forbidden foods like lobster and shrimp. Moses teaches against that. You reject Moses for Mohammad. Moses was inspired by God and talked with him directly, Mohammad was fooled by demons impersonating holy angels.
Quote: We are not Jewish in descent-so we have no need to keep the biblical holidays. We already have our own. I do not recall Christians keeping those laws.
God doesn't say you have to be Jewish to keep HIS festivals, the Festivals of the YHVH (LORD). God merely gave His holidays to Israel (all 12 Tribes - not just to the Jews) to share with the whole world. They are HIS holidays.
You will have to trash your holidays, because that's just what they are: your holidays - not God's. Just like traditional Churchianity will have to confess and forsake their holidays of pagan origin that misrepresent God and He doesn't want any part of. The true Christians, the Sabbath-keeping Church of God continues to keep the same biblical Sabbath, biblical festivals and biblical dietary laws as Yeshua, as the early Church (both converted Jews, Israelites and Gentiles) both kept, and all the world, but Jew, Israelite and Gentile will soon keep or suffer the serious consequences.
The Church Jesus Built
King Messiah Yeshua will destroy those who gathered against Him when He returns to Jerusalem from Heaven (in full view of all mankind from the sky - not Rome, Mecca or Tibet) and command the survivors of all nations to now come up to Jerusalem for the right reasons, to worship Israel's Priest-King and God during the biblical festivals and learn about the God of Jacob (not Esau or Ishmael):
Zechariah 14:12-19
12 This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day men will be stricken by the LORD with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other. 14 Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected--great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. 15 A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. 19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
Isaiah 2:1-4
The Mountain of the Lord
1 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
2 In the last days
the [Temple] mountain of the LORD's temple will be established
as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.
3 Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the [Temple] mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths."
The law [not the Koran or Roman Catholic bull] will go out from Zion,
the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.
