Budapest is the capital city of Hungary. The city is located in the central northern part of the country and it is home to a population of 1.7 million. The city is crossed by the River Danube, with Buda on the right bank and Pest on the left. Budapest boasts a rich history and the area was first settled by the Celts. However the first recorded history occurred later in 84AD when Romans settled in the area.
