The Federal Trade Commission is sure screwing up royally these days and they are making the Bush Administration look incompetent and silly, even foolish at times. How so you ask?
Well simple really remember the highly touted CAN SPAM Act, well the FTC Federal Trade Commission was put in charge of this and what happened well they waited 6-months taking their sweet time and having parties and meetings with people all over the nation.
Why? Well in order to come up with definitions of what SPAM exactly was, instead of going after the SPAMMERS, meanwhile the SPAMMERS have been one step ahead of them ever sense. SPAM actually went up 3000%.
Then during the last budget hearings the FTC had the balls to tout their progress on SPAM and other issues and actually asked Congress for a bigger budget and the United States Congress gave it to them.
Next the Federal Trade Commission was to go after Identity Theft, which is growing as fast as SPAM, instead of getting the bad guys they fined Corporations, who were victims of break-ins and hackers.
Next last week the FTC Federal Trade Commission had laptops stolen with personal information of 110 people and this is the agency that is suppose to protect the American People from Identity Theft, hell they cannot even protect themselves.
What else happened this week? Oh yah in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation took on another trustee; Billionaire Warren Buffet no doubt doubling their philanthropy to 60 Billion Dollars. Yes, this is the same Bill Gates that the FTC attacked? Imagine how much he could have given if the FTC did not attack his business.
I predict that if the Bush Administration does not do something about the FTC for instance call for termination of the agency, the FTC could end up forever destroying this Presidents Legacy and preventing another Bush from being elected to a major Federal Executive office in this century.
Trust me on this I watch trends very carefully and the FTC is screwing up that badly. It must be terminated now, besides lets save the taxpayer the burden and spare the consumers the BS. Face it the FTC is not helping anyone, as they cannot even help themselves these days. Consider this in 2006.
