Boost immunity to counter candida
Question : Occasionally, I have a whitish layer on the surface
of my tongue. What causes It?
Answer : WHITE-COATED tongue may occur when you do not drink
sufficient liquids, a situation that may lead to tiny pieces of
food sticking to your tongue. The coating may also result from
the normal buildup of dead cells. In either case, it's harmless
and is easily removed by drinking fluids or by brushing the
tongue with a toothbrush.
However, sometimes a white coating is the result of a yeast
infection, also known as thrush. This is when there is an
overgrowth of fungus called candida, normally found on skin or
mucus membranes. However, if the environment inside the mouth or
throat becomes imbalanced, candida can multiply, causing the
tongue to be coated. Those with poor immune systems and those
who use antibiotics frequently have higher chances of getting a
yeast infection.
Probiotics, a concentrated form of friendly bacteria, can help
control the overgrowth of the fungus and alleviate symptoms
related to this infection. A multiple blend of lactobacilli and
bifidobacteria is preferred over single-strain probiotics to
mimic the natural environment of the gut.
You may also opt for allicin, a standardised garlic extract. It
is a remarkable antibiotic that assists the immune system in
killing pathogens and detoxifying carcinogens. Allicin is able
to penetrate microorganism cell walls and upset their
biochemical balance and impede their activity.
Start a regular exercise programme and keep a proper diet to
boost immunity in order to get rid of this infection.
