The Truth About Making Money On The Internet
Every body who decides to start an on-line business can see the
tremendous potential that the internet has to offer. Where else
can a small business reach the incredible amounts of people that
can be reached on the Internet?
Where else can you start a business for such a small investment?
Where else can make money even if you do not have a product or
service of your own as you can on the Internet through promoting
affiliate programs?
You can buy resale rights to a product that some one else
created and sell it over and over and keep 100% of the profits.
These types of money making opportunities have never been
available before in history to the average person working out of
their home.
It would seem that it is impossible NOT to make money, right?
I'll answer that question by saying, if something sounds too
good to be true it probably is. You see the reason that so many
would be entrepreneurs never make money with their on-line
businesses is because they are being sold an unrealistic
expectation of success.
You will begin to make money on-line when you realize that you
are not going to find any magic solution hidden in the virtual
pages of some ebook.
Yes you need to learn from the best information that you can
find but the key to your success will be solely based on your
ability to mold what you have learned into your own unique
product and the conviction in what you are doing to refuse to
quit if buyers are scarce at first.
No matter how great the potential of the Internet is, unless you
are willing to work and work hard in the beginning with very
little to show for it, unless you count frustration as a perk
you will never see the returns that the sales pages seduce you
with.
Telling people that it is going to take work, and time, and
perseverance, to make a lot of money on the Internet is not the
way to sell a lot of pie in the sky ebooks, but I wouldn't want
to make money by selling people false dreams.
All that being said am I excited about Internet marketing? You
bet! Because I know the work that is involved and I am not
expecting to get rich and retire in a year. This gives me the
mental advantage to deal with the disappointments, and the
frustrations along the way.
That mental edge or attitude to deal with the roadblocks that
you will encounter may be the biggest key to your success. I had
a chance to watch some of the Tour De France this year and the
heart that those athletes have is inspiring. I started to think
about what we do as we strive to build a better way of life for
our selves, although many times we may question if that is what
we are doing, that when some one took a fall or had equipment
problems instead of wining and complaining they just got back on
the bike and used their anger and frustration to drive them
forward.
Failure was not an option to them. Now some cynical people may
say, yah so what only one won the race. That is one way to look
at it, but what impressed me is that they all crossed the finish
line!
Don't give up on your dreams, work at making them tomorrows
realities.
I wish you great success in your business and in your life. Jim
