Truth can be denied, but it can not be changed.

Truth can be denied, but not changed. Faith Fellowship Church PO Box 1586 Broken Arrow, OK 74013 Terry Dashner Even intelligent people fall short of experiencing the best that life has to offer because they are irrational. Rationality is paramount. Let me illustrate this. Many intelligent people--some young and full of life--take on habits that are known scientifically to damage health, like smoking. Smoking robs many people of their health and kills them before their time. Nevertheless, bright people continue lighting up. Many intelligent people over eat on a regular basis. Overweight they refuse to exercise and, likewise, suffer dire consequences. The list goes on... This brings me to what I think is a valid point. Just because people are smart doesn't mean that they will accept truth, even when it hits them in the face. Truth is fire burns. Whether I believe this or not does not change the facts. In the same vein, God is absolute truth, but that is no guarantee that intelligent people will automatically believe and accept it. My experience with the teachings of Scripture is not that they won't hold up to intelligent debate, but that the intelligent--having been presented with reasonable answers to their questions--still refuse to acknowledge the truth. I think the problem is this. Many intelligent (and even some not-so-smart-people) people don't want God interfering with their lives. Maybe I should qualify this statement. It seems that many people don't want God around, until their lives fall apart. That's too bad because God doesn't restrict living by interfering, but He enhances it beyond one's-wildest imagination. Keep the faith. Stay the course. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Honestly. Pastor T.
