Adversity An Advantage
To quote William Hazlitt,
"Prosperity is a great teacher; adversity a greater."
We can always learn more from challenging times than from good
times.
Adversity is the catalyst that forces us to stretch. It propels
us to find solutions to problems we never would have considered
if not for adversity.
Adversity can provide the fuel that sparks new strengths we
didn't realize we had within us.
How we cope with adversity is also a learning experience. There
are times in all of our lives where we have handled adversity
well, and times where we have not.
Next time adversity strikes, remember, you can use it to your
advantage by learning from it.
Horace said it well, when he said: "Adversity has the effect of
eliciting talents, which, in prosperous circumstances, would
have lain dormant."
