Design and Competition
Valentine's Day brings new opportunities for websmasters who run
ecard or greeting Card websites. It is considered that on this
day, the card sending reaches a frenzy and this day is second
only to Christmas in total cards sent. How does our network use
this opportunity? With that question in our mind, we launched a
new website
a> dedicated to content for Valentine's Day.
The first question for a webmaster is about the type of content
he/she will offer on a new website. In our many other websites,
we have wallapers in flash, but for this website, we especially
designed static wallpapers.Please view the pages wallpapers1, wallpapers2 , wallpapers3, wallpapers4, and wallpapers5 pages. We also
created a show all page to
display all the wallpapers together.
The other content item that we added was flash screensavers. We
created the page with the same looks as the wallpapers page.
Please view screensavers1, screensavers2 , screensavers3 , and showall page.
Designing awebsite that attracts in looks and is also user
friendly, is always difficult. For great looks one has to use
flash, which is user unfriendsly because of the weight. so in
webdesigning, one has to bring a fine balance between these two
requirements. Ease of use, good navigation, and good looks, all
combine to create a website that stands any chance amongst
millions.
The third was ecards. this scetion has been divided in four
parts. Happy valentine's Day, Heart to Heart , To my Valentine and Valentine Passion .
Today, one has to strive to produce better products. This age of
competition is ruthless and respects no talent or ability unless
it is executed properly. Users will click away unless the
websites are not sticky enough. This is a million dollar
question and all the web designers are striving to achieve that
goal.
